Format/Length: 13 open-ended questions


Questions to address Science Cornerstone faculty prior to the beginning of the quarter with regard to assessment

What are the main objectives of the course?

What are the main teaching methodologies you are using? lecture, field trips, films, guest speakers, collaborative work, projects, presentations

What would you like to learn from the assessment tools regarding your class?

 

  1. What do you want to accomplish in your class?

  2. What do you want students to learn?

  3. Developmentally, what do you want your students to try and master?

  4. At what points in your syllabus do you want to get feedback?

  5. Are you comfortable with me visiting your class?

  6. When can I come to your class and are there special field trips or assignments that I should observe or participate in?

  7. Would you like me to do focus group interviews?

  8. Focus group interview questions and dates to be chosen.

  9. Would you like me to do general class observations? What do you want me to look for or record during observations?
