Instrument 12: Computer Attitude Scales

Project: Problem solving and lifelong learning: Developing and assessing a course in Information Technology

Purpose: To gather information about attitudes on use of computer in order to create a school level course on IT for non-majors.

Administered To: Students enrolled in introductory level computer course for non-majors.

Topics Covered:

  • Attitudes & Beliefs (Student): technology, knowledge, skills, anxiety
  • Background Characteristics & Activities (Student): technology
  • Impact Variables: technology/equipment use, student interest, student participation

Format/Length: 21 closed-ended questions
